Gala Dinner & Award Presentation Ceremony

This event was organised to elevate the profile of the WSAA 2009 to celebrate the champions of the best wines.

It was a prestigious finale to WSAA 2009, attended by dignitaries, wine industry members and wine connoisseurs from the region. This event attracted more than 520 entries from 23 countries, of which 302 were awarded by an international and Asian judging panel.

The judging panel comprised of wine experts - sommeliers, wine club president, wine journalists wine trainer and consultant and judging was based on styles, grape varietals, vintages and price points. The panel was selecting q

uality wines which expressed a good and appropriate flavour, intensity, balance between the key elements and a good length and quality in aftertaste. All Gold medals were then judged again for the Trophy round where the Top of the categories would be chosen.
